Yes I had one at 23w with identical twins. I was really worried as I had a very short cervix, had a previous 24w loss and also there was the complex twin pregnancy bit! Anyway it worked, I got to 34w, they are 12 now and have just started secondary school. Happy to answer any questions about as I remember being petrified . I was also given progesterone pessaries too has that been offered?

Yes, I had one. The procedure was fine, being limited in how long I could walk around for during pregnancy was annoying, removal of the stitch was very simple and DS was born a week after the stitch came out. I found it helpful to read some old threads on here - the short cervix club - it was reassuring to read other people's experiences and understand more about what would happen.

I’m sure you’ll get lots of replies here, but I found a lot of women worldwide on the subreddit ‘short cervix support’. I tried to get stitch but there wasn’t enough cervix left (due to a previous operation). Have a look over there for lots of folks going through the same thing right now. Best of luck!

I had a preventative stitch at 25 + 6 (only a day before the cut off) and was only in hospital for the day (I wanted to go home as soon as I could). I was signed off work for 4 weeks to 'take it easy'. I felt fine after about 2-3 but my consultant was on holiday so the note couldn't be reviewed. I had my stitch out at the same time as I had my c section (39 + 4). I did get a water infection just after the stitch, so that was scary but I have never been so relieved to have a water infection. I did go to hospital to get this checked out because I was so anxious but once I had it checked, I relaxed a little. I wouldn't hesitate to get one again. Hope it all works out, it's a scary time but it does work out. My little girl is 2 next month x

I had one for my second son’s pregnancy at 18+6. Yes, the idea of infections and surgery is scary, but I can whole heartedly assure you that at least trying is better than leaving it to chance and losing your precious baby.

My first baby died at 19+3, and if I’d known how to save him, I’d have literally anything to do so.
