Morning/all day sickness

Any tried and tested remedies for morning sickness/nausea?
currently under 10 weeks and struggling to go to work due to the severe nausea (not even actual sick!)
have started taking b6 vitamins, iron supplements (always low on that anyway) and eating little & often, but nothings working.
all food is an absolute no to me at the minute and I’m having to force it, because of course hunger makes the sickness worse.
hopefully it subsides soon but out of curiosity if anyone does have any ideas that may help, please do tell!
it’s been 10 years since my last pregnancy & I had no sickness/nausea whatsoever then. 😬

I was the exact same in my pregnancy, I hope things will start to improve for you over the next few weeks. I felt like a new person at 13 weeks. The things that helped me was having some dry crackers next to my bed and eating one as soon as I woke up - as you say being hungry makes it worse. The best remedy I found was getting as much sleep as possible. I told my manager quite early and we were able to push my start time at work back a little so I could have a bit longer in bed. Best of luck!

Iron supplements can make nausea worse so maybe look into different formulations or timing them before bed.

You can speak to the GP about getting anti sickness tablets which can help with nausea, again it’s trial and error as to which ones will work.

Hopefully you should be over the peak soon, it should start to alleviate, in the meantime try to rest and eat what you feel like. Keep hydrated is the main thing… it’s really rough. But don’t suffer in silence- make an appointment and see what the GP says. It’s really miserable to be feeling like this as well as exhausting. I hope it gets better soon. Good luck!

I suffered through several pregnancies feeling absolutely rotten like you. Not actually sick more than a couple of times a day but felt horrendous 24/7. Got a prescription for cyclizine in my latest pregnancy and while it didn’t solve it completely it really took the edge off and made me functional again. If I ever have another I will definitely ask for medication — no point suffering unnecessarily. Good luck, it’s so so hard but so worth it in the end.

I lived on salt and vinegar crisps for quite a number of weeks.

i was exactly the same - but by 13 weeks I just woke up and had no symptoms anymore. I tried ginger tea, but I’m not sure it helped that much. Tbh I just ate a heck of a lot of bread , carbs as when I ate those the sickness did ease off temporarily

I had HG in my pregnancy and was admitted to hospital as I couldn’t even keep water down. I had to tried a couple of different anti sickness from the drs but they made me feel awful. I got prescribed ondansetron when in hospital and it saved me. I stopped being sick at about 30 weeks, it was awful!

Iron tablets made me very sick. Unless your levels are low (I’d get them checked), I wouldn’t take any or I’d reduce the amount / type

You can get anti sickness meds from your GP. I tried cyclizine first which did nothing and then moved onto Xonvea which worked really well. Just weaning off them now

Thank you for all your suggestions! 🥰
I’ve got an app this afternoon so will discuss meds with midwife!
anything's worth a try at this point-can’t take any more time off work! And also don’t want to tell them too early 😫
@drunkelephant83HG sounds absolutely horrendous & mine sounds pretty easy in comparison! Sorry you went through that-I couldn’t imagine 😫
