Anxious about test lines at around five weeks after early loss

I had an early loss at seven weeks back in Nov. Tested positive 1st May and been checking with a few tests since as have zero symptoms. Did digital on Tuesday and it said 1-2 weeks when I was 4wk4days which had me worried. I opened up the test but from what I could see I thought it may almost be going to the 2-3wk but not sure my eyes are playing tricks. Did one tonight and wondering if I should have a darker line I think I’m around 4+6 days give or take. App says 5wk2 days but my cycles roughly 32 days. Any opinions appreciated I’m so anxious and I know it’s not doing me any favours!

1-2 weeks on these tests is different from your actual tracking of 4 weeks, seems ok!

Thanks just because I was a few days over 4 weeks I thought it would be 2-3 weeks as that’s 4-5?

thanks!

I’m sorry for your loss. I get the anxiety! I’m very early pregnant again after a loss at 6w2d and it’s so worrying! I’m back to obsessing over lines myself but will say though- those digital tests made me more worried than reassured last time so I’ve purposely not used them this time.

Have you got a local EPU you could speak to? I’ve asked mine for HCG bloods which should hopefully give a clearer picture than line progression/digitals flipping. That said, you’re probably better off testing with a first morning urine rather than in an evening. If you’re not 100% on your dates could you have ovulated slightly later and be earlier on than you think? Congratulations on your pregnancy I hope everything goes well

OP, please stop testing. You will drive yourself crazy. It’s really easy to get obsessed with the line progression but I never had particularly dark lines with any of mine 3 successful pregnancies.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and wishing you all the baby dust! I phoned and said I was anxious but the basically said don’t be stressed and that you’re pregnant until you have any symptoms to suggest otherwise. Just need to keep busy. For an early reassurance private scan booked for two weeks time so hopefully that will help me relax! Thanks for reply

Thank you, that’s my husbands advise too - to throw out the tests. I think I better and just hope everything is ok 🙏🏾

If your cycle is usually 32 days, you likely ovulate later than normal. The dating to your LMP (which I assumed you used to say you were 4w4d) is usually based off a 28 days cycle and ovulating day 14. I have a 28-29 day cycle but never ovulate until day 16... with a 32 day cycle you might not be ovulating until day 18ish. The HCG can only start to rise once you have ovulated and implanted (again implantation can be within a few days range).

So I wouldn't get too worried about it saying 1-2 weeks when you think you are 4w4days because it's likely just down to timing of ovulation and implantation.

However, as someone who has had multiple miscarriages I would recommend you dont test anymore. It just causes you to stress, and 10 minutes after testing you'll be worried again that something happened in that timeframe.

You have an early test booked so just focus on that for now. I always told myself, I am pregnant today! I can't control tomorrow.

Best advice- testing just creates a need for reassurance that unfortunately they can’t offer. Best of luck, OP!
