With the huge range of pushchairs/travel systems available, it would be helpful to hear which ones people are choosing and why.

My SIL had the ickle bubba and was happy with it. We are using that second hand for our baby who is due soon. It looks good :)

Its best to think about where you live and how you'll use it, to help narrow the field. For example, i live in London and dont have a car so I have an uppababy vista as it has a massive basket that I can put all my shopping in and walk around all day. But for lots of people, its too big and heavy to lift in and out of a car each day.

We also have an uppababy minu - small, light, folds down tiny, brilliant for on the tube but tiny basket, rubbish on uneven paths and no buggy board so I only use it when out with my youngest and not the eldest. It would be no good when visiting family in rural areas for example.

John Lewis / Mamas and Papas or an independent baby shop are really good for testing different ones out. I didnt have the vista on my shortlist but when I tried it in JL, I loved it.

One thing I would say is not to get an infant carrier car seat that comes with the package. Nearly all car seats fit on all prams - buy the pram/ system you want and add the car seat separately with the adapters. You can get much better car seats that way (cybex, britax, avianaut all good ones to look for). There are good car seat information groups of FB - i use one called "bump to booster uk car seat support" and it has advice on the different car seats and benefits.
