No personal experience of this but there are a few. They will be quite old in the school year so all the advantages that go with not being a summer baby. I've got a couple of friends with early December birthdays and they embrace the fact there is loads to do at that time of year - one always puts the tree up on her birthday, one goes ice skating, another takes trips to europe for Christmas markets. If you can embrace it as a positive I'm sure they will too.

Mines dec 27 and it does make the month a bit rushed we have to make an effort to make him feel special separately but we also ‘hold back’ some gifts as it were to get them something in the summer too

I'm due December 3rd and already have a daughter on the 6th...plus my partner and his family all throughout December too 🥴 my daughter has always been fine with a December birthday. Initially we didn't put the Christmas tree up until the day after her birthday but these days she likes her presents under the tree. It will be absolutely fine for baby but you might want to start Christmas shopping a little earlier 😅

It’s a massive advantage education-wise to be born in the first quarter of the academic year.

I’m due on the 7th, the big bonus for me is I’ll be able to drink and I won’t be able to drive (c section) 🥂🎄

If early December a nice mix of gentle socialising/plus hibernation days over Christmas break potentially extending pat leave.

Plus out of newborn trenches and can enjoy mat leave over summer.

I second this. My dd was born jn November and it was so nice to be out with her the following summer. I have a due date of 10th december now so im sure itll be the same

I have a December daughter. She is 4. We have her birthday party at the end of November (usually the last weekend) and this year we plan to take her to a pantomime with the family on her actual birthday. There are always loads of things to do around then and it does feel special.

She also gets an Easter present (this year magna tiles) so she has something to look forward to in April.

Also due 8th December but will deliver no later than 39 weeks so it’ll either be late Nov/1st December as I’ll be having a c section.
super excited to have a tiny wee one at Christmas.
it’ll also be nice to see family and friends as normal over Christmas at my mums and then have our own time too.
