Hi there, this is my first time on the site.

i have just found out I am pregnant following a cycle of IVF(icsi.

Me and DH are still in a state of Happy shock, i was hoping there were some other new Mums to be via fertility treatment who could share worries, syptoms and paranoias!?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Not pregnant, not been through fertility tratment, but had to say congratulations! Enjoy this very special time.

I'm no longer a new mum - dc is 5 - but we owe her entirely to ICSI so understand how you're feeling now!

Congratulations!

I'm not pregnant either, nor had experience of fertility treatment, but a very HUGE congratulations to you and your DH!
Hope you have a wonderful and enjoyable pregnancy xx

Hi, we had been referred for fertility treatment but by some minor miracle got pregnant naturally before we got it, I'm now 36 weeks and really looking forward to meeting our little one.

If you're anything like me it will probably take a while to sink in that you're finally pregnant, but try to relax and enjoy it. Congratulations!

Huge congratulations

My DD1 was the result of 4 rounds of Clomid and Metformin after a PCOS diagnosis and after trying naturally for 18 months with no success.

I know Clomid can't be compared to the rollercoaster of IVF but I think that once you're pregnant you almost don't believe it and tell yourself it's all going to go wrong....when it so isn't.

I was a bit of a Zita West fan. Not sure if you know of her or not but she's a fertility expert with an interest in acupuncture and chinese medicine. I had one of her books, I think 'Fertility and Conception'. I drank tons of ginger tea (boiled water with a cube of fresh ginger peeled and chopped up) as fresh ginger is supposed to prevent miscarriage according to the chinese. She also recommends keeping belly warm. Eating well obviously, but you can't always guarantee that in the first few weeks of pregnancy.

Best of luck, look after yourself xx

Ahh congratulations Britgirl.

My SIL starts IUI in 2 weeks for the first time so I've been holding her hand so to speak while her and BIL have been through all the waiting etc.

All the best to you and hope you have a good pregnancy.

Hi Britgirl,

Congratulations!

I have a three week old daughter after IVF. A few of us have been talking on another thread on here I think it's called 'first time IVF' I found it great to talk to other Mum's who had been through the same process and we chatted throuout the final 20 weeks of my pregnancy.
I know all about the delight of sucessful treatment and would be happy to talk with you. Our sucess follows 4 years of infertility and 2 ectopics. I am now exhausted and exilerated after Emily's birth, trying to catch up on sleep throughout the day and night and recovering from birth. It was a ventouse delivery as she was large. (She was also a large blastocyst.)
How many weeks are you?

Lots of love and congratulations once again to you and your DH.

Love NS XXXX
