LOL normal i'm afraid. you're preparing for birth....

I think everything swells towards the end...fingers...toes...ankles....fanjo!

I made the mistake of having a look with a mirror at about the same time in my last PG -urgh never again

It could be a vulval varicosity - not nice! Try a bag of frozen peas in a tea towel for soothing relief.

i also made the mistake of looking down there by squatting over a mirror at the end of a long day - hmmm quite a scary sight. i even posted on here because i was freaked out by the "swelling", lots of lovely mnetters assured me that it was just vulval varicose veins (nice) and completely normal.

phew, dd3 is 6 weeks now, and the swelling disappeared within days of the birth

whomoved where did you get my photo from

whomovedmychocolate · 15/06/2008 21:22

Google images. It's a puffer fish. This is why pregnant women should be banned from wearing puffa jackets!

sweetkitty · 15/06/2008 21:22

I think I will have to wear two pairs of pants to keep everything IN.

But what a bad design fault (or is it padding??). To make the passageway smaller just when it needs to be nothing less than gigantic .

Oh noooo because you start to lose a lot of fluid when you go into labour. Also, you'll be grateful for the cushioning! Mind you I have to say it took over two months for my feet to go back to their normal size after DD.

Lol I can cope with swelling (as long as I don't ever look down there again)..but itchy vulval varicose veins...that's another matter altogether!
