I'm gonna try not to get so big, I put on just over 4.5 stone with ds1.

McDreamy · 15/06/2008 16:43

Oh yes I'm trying that too. I go to slimming world and I am going to continue for a while as I used pregnancy to eat and eat with DD and DS

I'm not going so eat so much during pregnancy. Next time I will NOT think .. 'stuff it, I'm going to get fat anyway!

Try to b/f for 6 months instead of giving up at three, will also try and be brave and b/f in public.

I won't feel guilty for holding my LO and sleeping with dc, I now know you can't 'spoil' little babies.

Most importantly this time I will trust my instinct and not let anyone else influence me

warthog · 15/06/2008 22:30

i'm going to be more insistent when i ask for pain relief!

Im going to give as good as I get whenever I have a midwife/doctor/other health professional with an attitude problem rather than meekly submitting and then beating myself up about being a hassle to them for months afterwards!

EffiePerine · 16/06/2008 08:22

Try not to worry as much. Eat peanut butter. Have a water birth.

Get to at least TRY the G&A

MrsTittleMouse · 16/06/2008 08:26

Run around after a lively toddler.
Have a quicker, easier delivery.
Insist that I am waiting on hand, foot and finger for the first few weeks.

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 16/06/2008 08:57

Have an early epidural.
Bring smelling salts for dp in case he blacks out again.
Not let myself be bullied by the doctors and midwives out of fear.
Not let myself be left with legs in stirrups while various staff wandered in and out going
NOT have mil staying here for 9 days after the birth.
DEMAND my fecking tea and toast!

Use arnica.
Take advantage of all offers of help.

belgo · 16/06/2008 08:59

I'm going to try and bf longer as well, especially as this will probably be our last baby.

Also try and get the baby sleeping in their own bed!

LittleMissNorty · 16/06/2008 09:02

I'm going to enjoy my pregnancy (and mat leave) as it will be my last......and I shall saviour every moment of that newborn cuddling and feeding special time....

TheProvincialLady · 16/06/2008 09:17

I was going to eat soooo well this time and not get as huge - but morning sickness paid put to that one again

This time I am going to stay at home for the birth and afterwards I am going to wear my baby in a sling and never get him/her out for relatives to poke awake and then never bother to visit again.

PInkyminkyohnooo · 16/06/2008 09:27

so far I have not been so ill, so that's very different and means that like many other ladies here I'm going to have to watch what I eat this time!

I am going to have a birth naturally as possible and the way I want it,as far as possible. Banish any frowny mw from delivery room!

I am going to have something to eat and drink during labour.

no-one is going to 'hurry things up'.

littleboyblue · 17/06/2008 07:16

I'm not going to let my temper get the better of me and hopefully won't allow myself to get so angry about everything.

Most importantly, TAKE NO SHIT!!!! My gp's crap, but not gonna be fobbed off, my local hospital where I had ds is crap but not gonna allow them to make me feel I'm not important enough IYSWIM.

Oh and also a really naughty one. I'm gonna give up smoking. I didn't last time but gonna try harder this time, but won't beat myself up about it like I did last time.

JamInMyWellies · 17/06/2008 07:47

I am going to believe in my body ability to produce milk and not stop breastfeeding at 6mth because I worried I was not producing enough milk.

I am going to go swimming and not be such a lazy bloater

I am going to enjoy giving birth and not be so scared by the process.

Blimey this is like a list of positive affirmations.

appledumpling · 17/06/2008 08:04

I'm enjoying this pregnancy rather than feeling dizzy and nauseous all the time.

I'm going to take things much easier after the birth - well, as far as possible with a 2yr old running around!

I'm just so much more relaxed and confident this time round. Looking back I felt completely out of control with DS even though everyone was telling me how chilled I was.
