Looking for some reassurance/tell me I'm overthinking!

Yesterday we went to my MILS because she has all my son's baby clothes which we need for new baby. They were stored up high on top of wardrobe for the past 2 years or so in spare room. In them sealed bags.

I was going through them for a while, plus didn't wash my hands and my partner noticed some mouse droppings on the floor. The bags I was sorting through were high up and no evidence of mice on them or bite marks etc.

Since then I have panicked thinking I am going to get a disease and hurt my baby. I'm 33 weeks pregnant.

Doesn't help I had a MMC this year plus I have OCD and I've woken up with a headache/cold

If there was no break in the bags teeth marks they will be fine. Soak them in hot soapy water before washing. Hope you feel better soon
Good luck with the new baby 👶

We had mice which thankfully are gone now (sent to the local woods!) but I have been worried about coming across poos in rarely used cupboards. From my understanding, the harmful virus and/or bacteria from mice can’t survive long. So unless they were very fresh, it’s unlikely they were still harmful. I am quarantining the cupboard until some time has passed so that when I clean it thoroughly there won’t be a risk.

very possibly you’re more allergic this morning rather than ill! I know for sure that dusty/musty clothes give me cold like symptoms.

If the clothes were in a sealed bag with no holes you’ll be fine.
Wash them on a hot wash with a laundry sanitiser and they’ll be ok to use.

If the clothes are packed properly, there’s nothing to worry about. Try to stop overthinking and stay calm. I struggle with anxiety myself, and after two consecutive miscarriages last year, it became even worse. I’ve been drinking Relax Calm Tea, an organic formula by Secrets of Tea, and I feel much better now.

I don’t get it, were you sat on the floor in the mouse dropping room? Regardless I’m absolutely certain you will be fine OP, try and take it easy
