Hi Everyone
Iv just had a suprise pregnancy test and to add further suprise I’m 12 weeks already, Iv had no signs at all.

me and my husband are so unsure about many things. I have a lot of worries such as
ill be 40 soon- higher risk

I’ll have a 15 year gap by birth - how will siblings feel, how will dynamic change

I recently took Provera for 10 days to bring a bleed due to having pcos I don’t get cycles- (how will this affect baby)

not knowing means I haven’t taken Folic Acid

iv now booked so with the Xmas period will be late for the Downs measurements on scans etc ?

as you can see I have so much questions and worries. My husband clearly doesn’t want another and I get that we both felt like we’ve a good rhythm travelling frequently and having projects but this is a massive change usual worries cost of childcare, starting again.

Anyone worked through these experiences and how do you make best decision I’m so lost as my other I wanted pregnancies and even had Fertility support. (Ironically)

thanks for any advise

I forgot to add, my sisters are older than me (12 & 14 years older, I then have a brother who is 4 years older) we are very close - especially close with my eldest sister, we have a special bond - which I’m hoping will happen with my children xx

Hi @StartingAgainmamaCongratulations! I had 2 x inconclusive NIPT tests, baby is now 2.5 and absolutely fine. I did chose to have an amino though for peace of mind. I believe that you can have a quad test through the NHS if you’ve missed the cut off for nuchal screening, which can also assess for the probability of Down’s syndrome.

Congratulations! I have a 9 year gap. Had my youngest at 40. Ironically we had fertility treatment during my mid 30s which didn't work, then a complete natural surprise !

Yes the childcare costs are hard to cope with again, as is the reduction in freedom. But I wouldn't change it. Both boys adore each other and we as parents are so much more relaxed.

Good luck!

Hi Ladies, still waiting patiently, I had a dating scan which was rather poor couldn’t see screen turned towards sonography, no printer and rushed but main thing is no concerns.

booked in done / quad blood test sent off.

Repeat private NIPT awaiting results

so now waiting for results it’s so stressful waiting for the all clear.
