To get myself ready?

Due in 9 days. Baby room is ready, hospital bag, snacks and water are all ready. Been for a pedicure today, freezer is bursting with food as are the cupboards for the next several weeks. Hair has been cut. Hubby will tidy up the lady garden and shave my legs for me later!

Can I do anything to assist my nips and fanjo for the coming weeks?

Anything else?

Lie down and have a nap, you won't get one for approximately a year now

Collect lots of DVDs from friends as you're going to spend a lot of time being awake feeding (bottle or breast) - I once watched a whole movie in one BFing session one night and would have gone mad without something to watch. I recommend old series of your faves, I went for The Office, My So-Called Life, ER...

DH would completely agree with MrsJamin - he thinks that all new parents should know to get the DVDs and the snacks in ready for some long looooonnnnngggggg nights.

Sleep, sit with the tv / radio off and enjoy the silence, read a book, make sure all your tax credits forms are filled in just waiting to add babies names and date of birth so that they are all ready to send off.

oh yeah, that's a good idea... my ds took aaaages to feed when he was little, at least 2 hours, so I had plenty of time to watch movies or reruns of programmes I like, thank God for on demand telly, there's not much to entertain at 5am!

Well I have Sky + but will get some DVDs too from friends. Thanks girls.

Hi finallypregnant! I'm due in 2 days!

DH - not a doctor or even a father (yet) - is convinced that sleeping is the key. For me, not him! His theory is labour is usually a long process, and tough physically, so you need to ensure you're not going in tired.

I like his thinking - but then I get to laze around...
