PCSO - when to tell work about pregnancy?

Hello!

I've just found out I'm pregnant (so very early - 4ish weeks)
I work as a police community support officer and therefore am front line... I obviously don't have the risks that a PC has on a daily basis, however, there still risks involved and you never know what you'll walk into!
When would you tell work? I don't want to say anything too early due to the obvious (risk of early mc) and also honestly, what people will say and think if I say something before 12 weeks.
It would also likely make me office-bound.
Anyone been through similar, what did you do? I obviously also don't want to put myself in any danger though and risk anything with the pregnancy!

Thank you for any insight and guidance :)

Different job but i work in a prison, not as an officer but still front line, so similarly there is some risk in my job. I told work straight away because i figured the risk wasn't worth it for me. I'd rather they know and amend my work so I'm safer. Plus i feel so rough at the moment that i couldn't do my normal job

In my past pregnancies I've told work straight away (I work with chemicals) but, due to 3 losses, I've decided not to say anything yet (I'm 6 weeks). As long as I wear my PPE properly I figure I'm fine. But I wouldn't hesitate to tell them if I were worried. Some jobs just require it!

Tell work straight away. In an ideal world you would keep this news to yourself but its necessary that you start light duties immediately.
