Hello,
Are there any particular books anyone has bought they found really helpful. First time pregnancy here and when you look so many books to choose from.

Thank you ❤️

There's so much info online, whether here from real people (search function yields crazy amounts of info and previous threads) or from official sites like the NHS, that I honestly never felt the need to purchase any books!

Sorry that doesn't answer the question.
What were you hoping to get from a book?

We quite liked The Day by Day Pregancy Book (think it's a Dorling Kindersly one). We were given a copy when DP was pregnant and it tells you what's going on with your baby at each stage, which is quite nice.

I don't know if I'm honest. Just something to read and look at that maybe tells me what's going on, what to expect without having to search online everywhere I suppose.

I really liked the Modern Midwife's Guide to Pregnancy - it's written in common sense language without feeling like you're being talked down to, and there's loads of information in it. If you're on social media she's worth a follow on Instagram as well.

This is one I was looking at but wasn't sure. Good to hear from someone who has actually read it.
