I’m just after some advice as I have tried to speak to my midwife about this and also mentioned it at scans I have had numerous amount of growth scans so I know my baby is fine but for the last 2 months I have really struggled to walk and it’s stopping me from going out and doing things because the pressure down there is so bad I feel as if I’m recovering from a C SECTION already - I had a previous section so know how it feels! My muscles are so tight and bladder is always so full. I’m 37 weeks pregnant now so I’m hoping he makes arrival soon but has anyone else dealt with this? I have a 4 year old and it’s been difficult with this pain and something I didn’t experience when I was pregnant with her… I know you’re bound to get some aches/pains but this is constant from the minute I wake up and can only walk short distances

I had this, it started from about 28 weeks and got worse and worse until I required crutches to walk even for short distances. I had a lot of physio to try loosen up my hips but the pain was excruciating and I also likened it to recovering from my first section.

All I was told was that my body was struggling the second time around because it had been weakened from my first child. My midwife referred me for urgent physio and I had physio twice a week to help. Once my little boy was born I felt a lot better but do still suffer from hip pain every now and then.

Would a chiropractor help? My friend had this and apparently the pelvis was slightly out of place. She had it reset. She paid out of pocket cos obviously by the time you try even get help through the nhs you’ll be an old granny. She said she had two sessions and it was well worth it

There’s pregnancy belts you can get to help lift the bump up to relieve pressure on your back and pelvis etc it might be worth going to a shop and trying it on before buying to see if it helps. Sometimes it does but sometimes it’s internal and the body preparing for labour.
I had major hip pain in pregnancy from about 28 weeks where my hips had opened preparing for birth but one side had opened too much and it was rubbing bone on bone as I walked. It was agony but the bright side was it was 80% gone after birth and a month later as if it never happened!
Good luck OP wishing you a smooth labour! 🍀💕
