Drinking mould when pregnant

I am currently 13 weeks pregnant and at 10 weeks I realised I was drinking from a mouldy practice bottle. I have been so sick and I had just been refilling my plastic bottle with electrolytes for weeks. Please don’t judge as I know I should have cleaned it but was constantly feeling sick. The mould was all over the bottle and the very next day I was violently sick! I did call the midwife and they said it was just implantation but it was so severe I am convinced it was the bottle. I am worried this has affected the baby and caused some harm. I now drink from a metal bottle but can anyone offer me any reassurance or similar experiences.

If the mould was indeed making you sick I'm sure once it's out of your system you'll be fine.

Makes no difference if you're using a metal or plastic bottle now though, obviously you need to clean it daily with a bottle brush and hot soapy water!

Your body is usually well equipped at keeping you safe from these kind of things. Once you're well now, I wouldn't worry. Women and babies survive in countries with much more harmful water supplies.
As PP above said though, metal v plastic doesn't matter. I've found mould in metal water bottles too. Give it a good scrub every day to avoid.
