Throwing up and insomnia at 25 weeks - is this it for the next three months?

Currently 25+1 with DC1. I had a bit of nausea around weeks 10-16 or so but was never actually sick. I also slept incredibly badly throughout the first trimester, when every other PG woman seemed to be falling asleep on the sofa at 6 pm!

Slept really badly last night and the night before - getting up to pee every hour or so and sleeping either very lightly or not at all in between. Off work yesterday because I was feeling sick, then was violently ill this morning around 6 am. Now sitting on the sofa feeling sorry for myself! Oh, I've had a headache for two days too.

Just wondering (1) whether I should be worried that I've only just started being sick at 25 weeks - kind of assuming it's morning sickness but could it be a bug or something? and (2) is this it now for the next 15 weeks? Everything I read says it gets harder to sleep in the final trimester. I feel like such a wuss because I've had a relatively easy pregnancy, but the thought of feeling like this for the next three months just makes me want to cry!

This happened to me in my first pregnancy and I was told it was only a bug.

In my second I got a very bad case of it and was given something safe to stop me throwing up as it was after 25 or 28 wks.

I would just take care of yourself, and go to see the GP or phone them if it doesn't stop.

Oh, that's interesting, thanks. The irony is that it comes when I really haven't been eating anything dodgy! Also sleeping makes me feel better, so I thought it must be MS. Hope it clears up soon anyway

RainyWednesday, I have less good news. I had bad sickness for 13 weeks and it went away and came back at 24 weeks. I'm now 32 weeks and it's still going on. I have been admitted to hospital too for dehydration when it got bad. I got a bug at the same time so if you find you get poopy as well or you just feel really low, do go to the midwife assessment unit for a urine test because sometimes you do need extra fluids intravenously if you are losing it through vomiting/pooping.

I've been finding though that if I completely avoid any fatty foods and stick to cereal and crackers I can keep stuff down.

This site has some good tips
