'Frantic' movements every night?

Every night for the past few days to a week or so, baby starts moving what I would describe as frantic and it's worrying me.

Like squirming, kicking both arms and legs at the same time, strongly. Almost constant movements. Very fast. Other times movements are normal.

This has happened for 15 mins to around 40 mins then stopped. A single episode between 10pm - 2am.

Baby also gets hiccups a lot throughout the day and night.

I'm 35 weeks and have a growth scan today so hopefully will see someone I can ask. Obviously though it won't be happening at that time so I'm worried it won't be taken seriously. Should I park outside triage part of the hospital at night and go in when it starts, hoping they'll put me on monitor straight away? (do I sound mad?), or can I insist they monitor until it happens.

I have two other children and don't remember anything like this, although they are older.

No frantic movement that is out of the norm should always be checked out. Probably just cause you are still but needs checking.

I had something similar during my pregnancy. Also the third one strangely enough. The movements almost felt like my bump was vibrating, they were so quick and all over like every limb was going at once. I did call triage on a couple of occasions due to increased and rapid movement but was told that they were only concerned at reduced movement not increased. I didn’t ever discover what the reason for it was, although my baby is also very active out of the womb so maybe it was just that. I did google it myself whilst pregnant and found quite a few threads with the same ‘symptom’ which did help to put my mind at rest. I would always say to speak to your midwife/triage if you are concerned though, they would much rather put your mind at rest than have you worrying.

I could have wrote this post myself 3rd baby 35 weeks and for the last 3 nights for nearly a solid hour movements have been strong like he’s having a rave in their with no let up . Have a growth scan on the 2nd so waiting till then to discuss induction date etc . As baby has relax ed movements during the day I’ve just put it down to him trying to get in position as he’s breach aswell .
how did u get on at your appointment ?
I did ring and was told it’s good to have movements etc 🤦‍♀️

I have the same thing too.
Obviously anything out of the ordinary should be checked but I feel very strong movements (32 wks now) and have done since about 30’weeks, almost a bit painful.

I have a posterior placenta and I put mine down to that, have zero cushioning at the front.
I have had 3 growth scans in the last 3 weeks, all looked okay and amniotic fluid was fine too so I am just trusting baby has a lot (or maybe not!) of room to move around still and they’re enjoying it. Me, not so much 😫
