How much can you do 2 weeks before due date?

Stupid question but I wanted to go wreath making two weeks before my due date. This is my first so I have no idea how I will be.

How are most people two weeks before due date? Will this be possible?

I was still at work two weeks before my due date ..... So, barring any medical issues, if you are fit and healthy, I cannot see a bit of crafting as particularly strenuous.

Not that unusual to still be working full time at 38 weeks. Can't see why wreath making would be particularly strenuous.

Just don’t commit to anything expensive. It’s very common for babies to come early. Also you may be shattered and want your feet up

How long is a piece of string. My first I was only allowed out with another adult as I was having dizzy smells.

My second... I was on the big slide at soft play with my toddler.

Yes, I went to a large theme park (obviously not on any of the rides myself!) at 38 weeks pregnant and gave birth less than a week later!

Good idea to get some things to do - I worked until 10 days before my due date and then was bored stupid with number 1. Number 2 was a bit different but personally I would say best to have nice things to occupy your time

Unless you have some pregnancy issues that you’ve not mentioned, or it’s wreath making on the wing of an aeroplane, then it should be fine! I hate the first half of pregnancy because of vomiting, but the second halves were all OK. I was still working nights and carrying a 3yo on my shoulders up until the week baby three was born, so you may feel fine.

10 days before my due date with my 4th baby I took my children aged 7, 5 and 2 on the train, by myself, to London zoo for the day. I was fine. I figured if I went into labour there were probably hospitals in London!

You'll be fine with wreath making, its quite low intensity. 2 weeks before birth with both of mine I was still doing pretty much the normal things, going to work, socialising etc.
2 weeks before due date however, I'd already given birth. Both came around the 38 week mark.

I had awful sciatica and could barely walk. Also DD arrived at 38+1 due to pre-eclampsia that was only found the day before... I would not book anything that late! Editing to say obviously you can sit down for wreath making but I couldn't really drive or walk myself further than around the house at that point!

Had three pregnancies and none interfered with my usual routine at all. I was two weeks over due with one and still shopping in the supermarket, driving, meeting friends. Water skiing might be pushing it but wreath making will be ok.

Dc1 i worked till 38 weeks then moved house the next day.
Dc2 i had a one week old (had spent 6 weeks on bed rest/in hospital prior).
So id say its possible but it wouldn't go paying any money you cant really afford to loose because babies are unpredictable.

With my daughter I was working at 38 weeks and was active right up until my waters went at 38+6
With my son I was bed bound by 35 weeks.
I'd check the cancellation/refund policy before booking but there's a good chance you will be able to manage it

I'd had ds by that point, I was meant to be in Wales for work the Monday after he was born on the Sunday, that would've been a long journey for DH to get to the hospital!

Due to risk factors and babies measuring small (under 3rd centile and under 10th centile) the drs recommended I have both in week 37. But if left to my own devices I think I would have been fine to do a crafting activity in week 38. Just make sure you have your hospital bag packed and you’ve got a car seat. :-)

I was at the local wildlife park with my 18 month old at 41+6. Many would tell you they struggled with various complications and exhaustion. You really don’t know how you’ll be feeling, just think sensibly and know there’s a chance you may not make anything you do book due to pregnancy or an earlier than expected birth! Wreath making sounds lovely and relaxing though, a nice thing to do at that stage! Best of luck x

I was still working albeit in a sitting down job - and actually threw a big birthday party for exDH- a bit of a last hurrah before the baby. Two weeks before your due date could be a month away from giving birth. You’ll be horribly bored if you don’t “carry on as normal” assuming you’re feeling up to it!
