Can morning sickness peak at 8 weeks?

Today I am 9 weeks and 2 days pregnant, having turned 9 weeks on Tuesday. I started getting nauseous pretty early on, feeling not great around the 4.5 week mark gradually getting worse. The day I turned 8 weeks I started actually being sick and week 8 was awful! I regularly had large waves of feeling very sick and was being sick most days.
I still don’t feel great and get a lot of icky sick feelings and I’m still off pretty much all food but I’m wondering does that sound like my ‘peak’ as I was last physically sick a few days ago and get more breaks from big waves?
I have a diagnosed vomit phobia so finding this hard and wanted to know what others experiences were.
TIA

Hopefully! 7-9 weeks is typically when it can ramp up with most women it then find things start to improve from 10 weeks. If you find it's impacting your ability to function with day to day life do talk to your GP as there's loads of anti emetics that are safe in pregnancy

I hope so!
I was given metroclopramide but I was still being sick so they have given me a prescription for cyclizine but I’m not sure if that’ll be any better so not sure if I should stick by what I’m on or change

9-10 weeks is generally the worst, but that’s from looking at statistics from many women. So it’s perfectly feasible that you could have hit the peak a bit earlier.

My body has always been quite sensitive to surges of things, I was unable to take the combined pill when younger as it made me sick after the week off etc so I’m wondering if the rise in HCG really impacted me!

I was given cyclizine first then prochlorozine. In the next pregnancy a few months later I had metoclopramide and cyclizine which I found more helpful. In the next pregnancy a few months later, I went straight on to xonvea which took my nausea and sickness down to nothing although in this pregnancy I managed to escape hyperemesis and the sickness and nausea were no where near as bad as the previous pregnancies. The GP was quite good at moving me up the prescribing pathway each time. Do keep going back if you aren't finding the treatment effective.
