Itching everyday in third trimester, normal bile levels could it still be cholestasis?

I'm 28 weeks pregnant and for the last 3 weeks l've had itching everyday. It started only in the evenings but now happens whenever I'm relaxing and the last few days I've even woken up in the night itching on my hands/arms or feet. When itching is on hands or feet it's only occasionally on palms or soles but mainly sides/tops/ fingers/toes. My itching has started from hands and arms but now spread to literally anywhere on my body (still mainly hands and arms). It's not severe but definitely noticeable.
I had my first bile acid and liver function blood tests 13 days after the itching started and they came back normal at 4.1 for bile level. I've just had them repeated which I'm waiting on results. I've been told to keep repeating weekly if the itching continues.
Has anyone else had similar symptoms and if so, what did it turn out to be? Did your bile acids eventually rise after normal tests, or did it stay just "pregnancy itch"? Would love to hear experiences or advice.

This is happening to me at the moment.
Its been going on for weeks and im now 37 weeks pregnant.
Ive had bloods several times and theyve all been fine so poss hormones?
Community midwife is useless and told me if its not localised to the hands and feet its nothing serious and to call my GP.
MAU took it seriously and have tested my blood on several occasions but all is ok.
GP wouldnt see me but prescribed E45 itchy skin scream via an e-consult which has done nothing.
Im taking a combination of antihistamines, again not helped.

Before bed everynight im having a cool shower and sleeping in minimal clothing with a fan on.
This will help on some nights and not others.
Its driving me insane!
I feel i have to keep getting up and wandering around the house until the itching goes!

No solution im afraid.

It sounds like Pupps, google it. I've had it postnatally which is more rare and it's horrible. It's way more common in third trimester. I was prescribed a steroid cream and told to take antihistamines but they didn't help. It went away after a few weeks but it may last the rest of the pregnancy. Cold compresses were a relief. It'll pass ! No consolation I'm sure.

I had this and my levels were clear for cholestasis. Got checked about 3 times in 3rd trimester. It stayed with me till week 40 and I haven’t had any itching since giving birth. Hope your results come back ok. I remember getting my husband to scratch my back so hard and I used to scratch inner palms as well. I was so worried that they were missing something but baby is doing well.

It can take a few weeks from the outset of itching and seeing the impact on the bile acids on blood tests so it's good that they are repeating the tests.
Obstetric Cholestasis is relatively uncommon and there are other more likely causes of the itching so I wouldn't panic too much. Mild and moderate obstetric Cholestasis doesn't cause significant issues in pregnancies so it's less of a scary diagnosis than it used to be. The severity is indicated by the bile acid levels, it's only when they get above 100 that it becomes problematic so don't panic that they aren't treating/diagnosing something that's going to be causing the pregnancy problems. Induction is recommended at 38-39 weeks for moderate and 40 weeks for mild. Until then there's no additional risks. Severe is induced at 35 weeks or immediately if later

I had it in pregnancy and was induced last weekend when my levels shot back up from 20 to 80 at 36+5 and my liver and body was struggling. They were worried that it was at risk of being severe and my physical health was meaning I was bed bound. Baby arrived at 37+1 in the end a week on I'm still a little itchy but feeling so much better

I had this but also had an itchy rash on my tummy, assume it's just pregnancy related hormones maybe sensitive immune system to them.
On my second now and belly and feet itching has started up again, mostly with my feet it's when my skin is a bit hot. I found antihistamines helped.

I had this in my last pregnancy, so badly that I would get out of bed at night to rub my feet on the carpet, I literally couldn’t sleep for it. Tests were clear and fortunately I didn’t get it right until the end of pregnancy, but I’m pretty sure that something was wrong.

Awww @Cloud9xo really feel your pain. Ive been tested for it twice and came back negative both times.
Like other posters have said, ive had to just keep my skin cool to prevent me descending into madness.
Ive taken antihistamines when its really bad but don't love taking them while pregnant. 35 weeks and counting down the days x
