Was the midwife implying I am fat ?

Am I being paranoid or did the midwife imply I am fat? She weighed me and then was basically going on about contraception, and how after a c section it’s best to wait a year to 18months to get pregnant again and said the coil can be inserted during a c section…. And then said “most women want to get their bodies back”

Was she meaning bodies back before another baby? Or body back before having a coil inserted and adding hormones to a body that’s just given birth?

She probably just meant that being pregnant and breastfeeding takes a big toll on the body. Lots of mums feel touched out and look forward to feeling their body is their own. I don’t think from what you’ve said it was anything to do with weight. More just advising not jumping from a newborn to pregnancy again.

I’d assume she meant get their bodies back before having another baby. But it was rude regardless .
When I went to get the coil removed (it didn’t agree with me) I got a lecture about contraception, the nurse even said you don’t want to be a geriatric mother do you?! I was 39 and had no intention of having more children but I’m also old enough to know how to practise safe sex. !!

Yes as above. It’s funny how phrases have different meanings after you have a baby. Getting your body back after a baby is not being poked, prodded, slept on, dribbled on…!
