Light bleeding at 10 weeks

Hi,

I started a little bit of light bleeding 3 days ago one evening, which went lighter and stopped after a few hours. I then had a small amount the following morning, them nothing all day. The next day, it started again in the afternoon. Only enough if I wiped, a little enough just to stain a pantyliner slightly. No cramping, only small crumb size clots on the occasional wipe.
I phoned my midwife for advice, and says this is normal, and not to worry unless I am cramping or soaking through a pad every 30m
Fast forward overnight almost 12 hours later, I am still bleeding. Still the same amount and colour, but last time it had stopped by then back into a a pink/no discharge.
Has anyone experienced this and made it into a full term healthy pregnancy? Is it meant to last this long?

I plan to phone my midwife again after work, but looking for reassurance until then!

Thanks in advance!

I hope everything is ok for you. I bled in both my pregnancies and it was ok.
You could ring your GP as in some areas (mine) they can refer you to the EPU and hopefully you’ll get a scan.

I did have some bleeding at 6 and 8 weeks and things are currently ok at 28 weeks. I would go to EPU for a scan though. It depends on your area. I could just present at the hospital but you might need to ask midwife for a referral.

Thank you. How long did the bleeding last?

I had this around 9/10 weeks, and she just started school :) I’d get checked at your EPU though.

Definitely get a scan at the EPU to see what's happening but light bleeding isn't necessarily a problem. I'm 16+1 and 9n my 2nd subchorionic haematoma, the first one has brown spotting with occasional pink for about 4 weeks the 2nd I woke up bleeding red and felt like it was pouring out of me, it was start stop with heavy times for a day and the EPU said was another haematoma, not a problem, and woukd resolve on its own, scary though! But always good to check out any bleeding

I had a gush of bright red blood each time that faded to pink then brown spotting.

No cramping is a good sign I think but ultimately the only way of knowing is a scan. Please push to be seen by your nearest EPU asap. Good luck.

Keep phoning back and ask for a scan OP. My sister had this until about 20 weeks and had a healthy baby, but for me when I had it was bad news (missed miscarriage). There’s no way to no without a scan

Thank you for your replies everyone. Phoned the EPU, they said it is normal and just to keep an eye that it doesn't get heavier. Fingers crossed everything is ok!
