I feel as though I am constantly congested and it’s affecting every day activities! My nose runs like a tap. I’ve used Sudafed nasal spray only once as I’ve read it’s not recommended in pregnancy… but is it not the Sudafed tablets that would be bad because of blood flow? Surely the nasal spray is ok if I’m not using it every day, I’ve only used it once weeks ago? It’s the only nasal spray that works for me 🙁
has anyone been pregnant before and have any other suggestions or used this nasal spray and been okay?

I had it but it went the other way for me - nose felt blocked every night. I slept with those sticky nasal strips on each night for months 😐

My mum actually suggested this! I’ll have to buy nasal strips, do you feel they worked for you?

Try a humidifier with a few drops of olbas

Also a really cold gel eye mask pressed firmly on the bridge of your nose will help.

You could try a corticosteroid spray as they're OK in pregnancy

Yes I am absolutely at the end of my tether. It was my first symptom at barely 3 weeks pregnant and it’s been non stop till now at 16 weeks. Completely blocked. It’s wrecking my sleep completely. The Dr has prescribed me a steroid nasal spray. First night I slept better than in months; I then got a cold! Can you believe it.

Definitely speak to your GP

No tips but I remember after I gave birth being amazed I could breathe again! It’s like I’d forgotten what a clear nose felt like.

It’s the worst, so solidarity

Absolutely. Couldn't sleep without them although they were a pain to get off in the morning!

I was given something called becanase (not sure of spelling) and this made a huge difference.

I had this with both pregnancies and it was the worst part for me! With my second (NICU baby) as soon as I had a c section, within hours, my nose cleared and it all moved onto my chest for three weeks. You can imagine the looks I got sat next to my seriously ill baby with my rattling chest!
