What's wrong with boys?

There have been a few threads recently from people who have found out they are having boys, or are pg and don;t want a boy.

What's wrong with boys? I am 24 weeks with my first and the sonographer was pretty certain it's a boy. I'm well , as I was never a girly girl myself.

So big up to all the baby boys out there!

It depends where you live, I imagine it would be grim and scary in some places but I haven't found it so. My DSs have lovely friends and they would run a mile from trouble. I wouldn't worry about them any more than girls. I think that it is hard for any teen these days, I would hate to be that age again. I worry about drugs which is why I get cross on here where some parents have a relaxed attitude and normalise them by calling them 'recreational'.
I haven't got any girls to compare but, from what I see, boys seem much easier to deal with as teens than girls.

I'm having a scan on friday when I should be able to find out the sex. i have my fingers crossed for a boy. I teach 5-7 year olds and boys are SO much easier!!!! I also know that boy teens are much easier as well... not that it's about things being "easy" as nothing is easy, but it seems more appealing anyway

Thanks Folks,

I guess I've had a gender balanced upbrining. I'm the third of 4 - 2 boys 2 girls in that order - so I guess I've some experience of boys. Not as babies, but then I have no experience of babies at all, so the whole pg/childbirth/new parent thing is slightly daunting, but not because of the gender at all.

I was bought up in S London and it seemed pretty grim and scary for a girl, even 20 years ago. Which is why I now live in lovely Yorkshire countryside. I'm not naive to rural social problems, but not too worried just yet either!

I'll worry about the teen years in 13 years time. If DH has his way DS-to-be will be in the nets practicing to open the batting for Yorkshire at Headingly!

As for being MIL - wouldn't I be one if I had a daughter who got married too? My DH and mum get on like a house on fire! I get on pretty well with his - she keeps ringing up to say what she's knitting - is expecting 2 grandchildren this year!

And as for moving away - well, 1 brother and my sister went abroad, and my other brother and I are both over 100 miles away from mum, so no gender tendencies there!

Big up the boys! Big up the girls! Big up the babies!!!!

Beginning to get really exited now, I am getting bigger by the day! Hoping that the summer will be as cold as last year!!!

When I found out ds1 was a boy I was a little worried because he was the first boy born in my family in 28 years. My mom, sister, and I looked at each other said, "What do we do with a boy?"

I always said that I wanted a girl, but lately I've been thinking that if I only have boys I would so happy, because the two I have a so sweet.

I have 2 boys are they are the cutest.

Plus they love spending time with Daddy, doing boring boy things. Therefore I have time for MN'ing
