SPD - tubigrip

I was reading another thread and I am now wondering if I am wearing my tubigrip all wrong...

When I wore it after first birth, I wore it over my stomach and thighs.

Now I am pregnant again it doesn't fit over my stomach, so I'm wearing it, um, below the bump, if you see what I mean.

I'm now a bit concerned this is wrong and I'm going to get a telling off from the physio when I finally get my appointment. Does anyone know?

TIA.

I have spd and am wearing a support belt (is this what you mean by tubigrip?)

The physio told me to wear it low over my hips and under my bump. The idea is that it helps hold your whole pelvic area together.

Thanks Ilana.

I'm not sure if it would be classed as a belt...you know the support bandages you get when you sprain your wrist, well it's one of those but much bigger for your torso. The physio gave it to me after my first birth.

I'm glad to hear we're doing it the same way!

My physio gave me a huuuuuugggee bit of tubigrip when I was pregnant with SPD. She fitted it for me and it kind of went from midthigh to over my bump. Well in theory- I found it rolled upwards from my thighs so was more just over/below bump.
It was double thickness as well- really nice in the hot weather
Support belts are different. Not sure there is a 'correct' way to wear tubigrip though- just do what helps you!

I have one and when the physio gave me it she also gave me a much larger one to accomodate bump growth - I'd get back to them and make sure just incase they have a bigger one they can give you
