Hi all,

I’ve been told to book my RSV and Whooping Cough vaccines (I’m 29 weeks) by midwife but also received a letter from GP to say I need to have my HPV as I was opted out in school when it was offered to me. Can I have all of these vaccines or should I wait until after pregnancy to get HPV?

No don’t have HPV during pregnancy that can wait till after you’ve had baby.

RSV and whooping cough should be given 2 weeks apart.
whooping cough from 16 weeks of pregnancy and RSV from 28 weeks

im a practice nurse if that offers you any reassurance

I had my whooping cough and rsv vaccines on the same day at 28 weeks.

Best practice and guidelines say they should be given separately if possible

RSV and pertussis are advisedto be given separately. Can be given together if you are unlikely to rebook but may have reduced immune response.
Dont forget flu vaccine from 1st September.
Practice nurse.
