High risk pregnancy

My pregnancy had been classed as high risk due to previous c-section. Just wondering what to expect? How many more appointments will I be getting and are there more tests?

It can really vary. I'm high risk for other reasons and was with my first too. With my first I had 1 face to face appointment with an Obstetrician after my dating scan and a phone call after my anomaly scan. It was during covid and that was all the extra care I needed.

I'm pregnant again with the same reason for being high risk and am under two obstetricians, have had a glucose tolerance test and am having growth scans and regular appointments with one of the obstetricians. This time around I'm under 2 hospitals one for antenatal care where I'm having all the appointments and the second one for birth. This is the same hospital as last time but last time all my care was at this hospital and I've seen the same Dr I saw last time there and only the once.

Try not to worry too much. They are being cautious. I have three DC, none of whom were born naturally. My last C-section was a total dream: planned at 38 weeks, walked into the theatre bright and early, got my epidural and shortly after held my lovely little girl. All super relaxed and easy. The rest of my pregnancy was very easy too (in fact, I worked right up to the last Friday before the C-section). You'll be monitored possibly a bit more closely than if it was a 'regular' pregnancy but at this point, no need to worry.
