Tightness/hardness across upper stomach 23 weeks

Currently 23 almost 24 weeks and I keep experiencing a tightness/hardness across the top of my stomach which can often make me feel sick or a little faint.
When I’m walking or standing and it comes on my I have to sit down until I feel like it passes but I can feel it again not long after I walk.

I don’t know if it’s the position of the baby but it feels like something I’d expect at 33 weeks, similar to my first, not at 23.
Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be worried? I don’t have a midwife appointment until 28 weeks. This is my second pregnancy.

thanks in advance!

Sounds like Braxton Hicks. I never got them in my first pregnancy and thought it was baby shoving her bum up/out when I first started getting it in my second pregnancy. It took me a while to work out that it was more likely to be Braxton Hicks 😅 nothing to worry about!

yes braxton hicks. I only got them with my third and yes from around 20 weeks. It was like an egg cracking, not painful but tight and stiff. Baby came at 40+2 .

Braxton Hicks (practice contractions) - I’m pregnant with number 4 and I’ve been able to feel them since 10 weeks - it’s just your uterus getting ready - mine have gotten stronger as pregnancy has gone on (33 weeks now) so be prepared that might happen to you too x

I had strong Braxton Hicks with all my pregnancies and from early on. I also had four very easy births and I believe the two are related - so good luck!

Oh, if they become regular for hours, very strong, or accompanied by pain (in any place including your thighs, back, bum and stomach), then get checked out.

I had this throughout my pregnancy. One time I was being monitored for reduced movements and the midwife commented it looked as though I was having contractions. She said it was Braxton Hicks and I told her I get it a lot in work when I’m active and on my feet. She just told me when I feel it to slow down a bit and rest

Thanks for all your replies, this has given me some reassurance. I think it’s because of the sickly/fullness feeling I had no idea Brixton hocks could feel like that.
it almost feels like she is lying length ways across my stomach when it happens as it goes wide and tigbt? If that makes any sense at all!
