Pg test lines not progressing

Hi there,

I've had IVF and had a frozen embryo transfer. Embryo was 6 days old (they gave it an extra day to expand before freezing) and transfer was done 5 dpo.

At 11 dpo (6 dpt) I tested a faint positive (was surprised as quite early!) on a sensitive test.
I'm now 15 dpo and having tested daily, the lines on the tests are not getting darker.

Having previously had a chemical pregnancy (via natural means) where lines didn't get darker I'm aware what this could mean.

Believe it or not, despite the IVF I'm not going to be devastated if it doesn't continue (early in IVF journey) - that sounds awful but just being realistic! I'd rather have realistic advice or stories than people giving false hope.

(I'm still using progesterone pessaries, which will be delaying my period regardless of embryo viability.)

So - what do you think it means that the lines haven't darkened from 11 dpo to 15 dpo? Does this sometimes happen or is it more likely to be chemical?

(Tomorrow I will contact the clinic - didn't seem urgent enough to query over the weekend.)

This is today's (15 dpo) test. Looks the same as the one from 11 dpo.

6 DPT would be very early to get a positive. You aren’t using FReR and getting the dreaded indents are you?
Have you done a digital? I hope all turns out okay 🤞🏻

Sorry, cross post.

Get a branded test to try, that line is really patchy, are you dipping in a sample or peeing on the test strip?

I wouldn't trust the link above.
When you transfer a blastocyst, it's totally fine to test when you tested.
In natural cycles, people get positives as early as 8DPO, sometimes a bit earlier.

The line also isn't patchy like the person above said, it's a positive.

Just feeling frustrated for you that you are clearly testing positive and then someone comes on here saying you do to too early and maybe that's not even positive. Feels like there is some gaslighting going on.

Moving on so I can actually advise you.. I've had poor line progression 3 times and it didn't end well 😔
I'm afraid it might not be good news but would be good to see both tests together.

It could be they are the same colour when they dry out, do you have pics of both when they were still wet?

I'm using One Step test sticks, sensitive to 10mlU/mL.

I have used these before and never got a false positive/indent line before.

ETA - 6 days post transfer was a 12 day old embryo in this instance

Dipping in a sample.

Will try a branded test tomorrow!

@Everythingisokay

Thank you.

It's ok, I'm just trying to be realistic so I don't mind posters not sugar-coating their replies.

I'm sorry to hear about your experiences. Wishing you all the best luck with future attempts.

I have a pic of the 11dpo (first) test wet but didn't think with the others!

Will see what this week brings.

I also don't think you have to buy a branded test.
It will be harder when you try comparing progress between different brands.
I'd stick to using the tests you're using, you say you never had any indents so you know they're reliable.

Wishing you all the best 💕

This morning's test, relatively fresh (about 10 mins after doing it)

Just to say I was using those tests and they weren’t that accurate. I’ve had a lot better results with a pink dye test
