I’ve recently found out on a private early (7 weeks pregnant) scan that I have a retroverted partially septate uterus

Today was my first midwife appointment with the nhs and I have flagged my concerns after my private early scan. I’ve found out that my uterus not only retroverted but partially split as well. The embryo is implanted below the split which is a great news. Unfortunately the midwife wasn’t able to answer any of my concerns about my condition (explaining they are trained for normal pregnancies only) she also wasn’t able to book a nhs scan before the first planned scan which is at 12 weeks the earliest.
I have made the mistake to google my condition and it is causing me a lot of stress atm. Can anyone recommend me a specialist who would be able to help me with my abnormal uterus condition please?
Any pregnancy stories with septate uterus (especially happy ones!) are also appreciated.

many thanks!

I have a heart shaped uterus, so not quite as severe I presume. It was only flagged on my second child. Has caused no issues as far as I can tell.
The womb will expand where and as it can, I'd just be considerate that it may have trouble turning later in pregnancy.

My mother had a more bicorn uterus and actually ended up being pregnant twice at the same time I believe. She ended up having 6 living kids and 6 mc, one at least a still birth along with a live with twins, but don't know how far along on the others and also other factors such as this being 30-40years ago, having other health conditions and being rhs negative.

The retroverted shouldn't cause any issues whatsoever.

Retroverted - really common, not an issue, as baby grows it will change position to normal.

The partial septate may increase chances of miscarriage or early birth, but also can be completely fine (I have one). More likely for baby to grow a bit small, or be in an abnormal position at full term meaning increased chance of needing a CS.
There is nothing different that would need to be done before the 12 week scan anyway, usually you would just have some extra scans later in the pregnancy to monitor your cervix and baby’s growth and position.
congratulations on your pregnancy and all the best :)

You Could ask your midwife about getting referred to the risk of pre-term birth clinic. I have a heart shaped uterus and was referred to this clinic at my booking appointments but the first appointment is at 18 weeks (a scan and discussion with a doctor). Mine was only picked up at my first C-section despite having many scans through IVF. Baby was breach and was told she would have had no chance to turn. Born at 38 weeks (went into labour just before planned section).
