Pregnancy pillow

I am only 12 weeks pregnant but struggling with getting comfy to sleep (I am guessing due to bloat, being conscious about avoiding being on belly/back too much and worrying about moving about too much)

I am looking at pregnancy pillows but unsure what would be best - half moon, V shape, wedge. Does anyone have any recs? I am swaying towards half moon because for now putting two pillows in a right angle to out my arm and leg over seems to help - but it means there aren't enough pillows left for DH ha! Rather than just buy more I think a pregnancy pillow may be a good investment.

Grateful for experiences/recommendations :)

BBHugme. Best investment of the last months for me! So unbelievably soft, squishy and mouldable. I had a massive U shaped one for a previous pregnancy, it took up so much room and wasn't that comfy at all.

If something happened to my BBhugme I'd replace it immediately. Expensive but god it's worth it.

Super thank you so much I will check it out :) I am hoping to get something that will help now then see me right through! :)

Second the BBHugme. It’s expensive but I love mine: I still use it and my LO is nearly 18 months! Before pregnancy I used to sleep with a pillow between my knees due to a longstanding injury, but the Hugme was a revelation there: it supports my whole body, and especially being able to have my ankle elevated and on the same level as the hip and knee helped so much. My husband sometimes complains about the space it takes up, but I tell him that if I had to choose between him and the pillow, the pillow would win every time Grin

Have a look on Vinted as you can often get new or nearly-new ones there for less.

I also recommend the BB nursing pillow if you plan to breastfeed. I didn’t think I needed a separate one, but I was gifted one and loved it as well.

@FlySwimmer you've twisted my arm, now I also have to order the BB nursing pillow 😂

I have this one, which is enormous but incredibly helpful for sleeping well:

I find a u-shaped one very helpful as pregnancy progresses, because you can turn over without needing to move the pillow too, and because it supports your back but stops you rolling right over in your sleep.

Another recommendation for bbhugme. Really good investment, especially if you want to breastfeed. Im still using mine everyday with my almost 2 year old.

You won’t regret it! I was skeptical initially but it’s really nice: moulds really well to the body, and not too big. It was also easy to have in the car, or throw in the buggy basket for out and about.

I still have it, I’m using it like a lap pillow now… maybe DH has a point about too many pillows
