Struggling at work in the heat

I'm 31 weeks, first pregnancy. I work in a warehouse and it is absolutely boiling. There is no air conditioning. They have given me lighter duties and so I'm at a desk just packing instead and been given a little fan. It hardly did anything yesterday to help, the second I moved away from my desk I was dripping with sweat. It was only 22 degrees yesterday, and tomorrow is meant to get up to 30 degrees. I don't know how I'm gonna cope, genuinely. My water bottle is pretty much just ice that I'm letting melt. The toilets are downstairs and like a sauna, and baby's pressing on my bladder at the minute so I'm there every hour, at least. It's a 5 minute walk from my desk and up a flight of stairs. I'm sweating by the time I get back. The entire place is like a furnace. A lot of people have complained and asked for air conditioning, but the best they have is fans which, unless you're standing right in front of them, don't really do much. I asked for tomorrow off, even unpaid, because I know it's gonna be hard to cope at 30 degree heat when that warehouse traps the heat inside and feels 10x hotter, but they said no.
I don't know if I'm asking for advice or just ranting, to be honest. I'm at work in an hour and dreading it.

Can you take a fan in? Or ask if they'll provide one

Sorry I completely missed that off your post lol! Do you have a better fan at home you could bring?

Can you purchase a shark fan to take into work? Charge it at home before you go and remember to take it home. You don’t need to worry about pat testing then either

Buy a tower fan and take it in with you, way more air but don't take up much space. Gel packs kept in the fridge to drape around your shoulder or hold on your wrists for the long walk to the toilet. Also a handheld fan for when you need to step away from your desk. Take a picnic bag with ice packs in for the gel packs and some cold drinks.

I was overdue in a heatwave a few years ago, you have my sympathy! I'm not sure how/if it's legal to work like that. I'd also bring you maternity leave forward so you don't have to deal with it for much longer too.

Also just call in sick rather than asking next time :) then you'll definitely get the day off.
