My SIL's little girl has this. It was very noticeable as soon as she was born

I did a lot of googling for her and found quite a bit of info.

Its not that common but there are hospitals that deal with it regularly. You may have gone to bed now but feel free to email me legoates @ tiscali . co . uk and I'll try to find links to all the sites again, although its a couple of years ago now.

There is an optimum time for surgery when the child is still quite young. Sadly SIL has been in denial and refused any treatment, the child is now too old for the surgery and her face and skull are quite skewed. So if you need information to get help for your baby I will gladly tell you all I know. Can't put too much info here I don't want SIL to be identified by it she will go mad (as she did when I got her all the info ).

Its called craniosynostosis by the way, I just googled that and a ton of stuff came up. Its not life threatening and although at lot of midwives/health visitors havent come across it, its dealt with quite routinely at the major childrens hospitals around the country, so try not to worry xx
