Pregnant after 5 miscarriages - need reassurance!

Hi all,
I’m 7+3 weeks pregnant after 5 previous miscarriages.
I’m quite nervous so really looking for reassurance. Anyone had a baby after multiple losses?
For context, I’m 36 and on blood thinners with this one. I’ve previously tried progesterone, sitagliptin, baby aspirin, extra vitamins, no exercise, extra exercise. None of them worked. We’ve had one scan already and it showed a heartbeat at 6+4. But we’ve seen a heartbeat at least 3 times before and no joy. Next scan is a week tomorrow.
Thanks.

Check out the due November after loss thread. There's quite a few mum's experiencing pregnancy after loss not all due in November. I'm actually due in September!
I had two miscarriages last year but now 22 weeks. I fell pregnant immediately after my last loss but didn't find out I was pregnant until 7.5 weeks and had a scan a week later at 8+3 further than I managed with previous pregnancies. I will say I was glad to miss out on that early pregnancy anxiety!

Congratulations! Fingers crossed for you. I'm currently cuddling my 5 month old after having 5 or 6 early miscarriages, only made possible due to sitagliptin and prof brosens. I have a friend in a similar situation. So don't give up!

Hi, congratulation! Please, could i ask how shortly after taking Sitagliptin you fell pregnant? I've seen prof brosens so this is reassuring to read :)

Just updating this thread for completeness.
unfortunately my 9 week scan showed the baby’s heart stopped around 8+3 weeks. I had a D&C shortly after.
So blood thinners didn’t work for me either.
The list of treatments I’ve tried that didn’t work are:

  • progesterone
  • sitagliptin
  • aspirin
  • extra vitamin D
  • blood thinners injections
all in various combinations.

I think this may be the end of the road for me. It’s been 6 years of my life, and taken a huge toll on my body, my mental health and my friendships (I’m one of the few without kids and probably the only one without choice).

@rubyrobin7586 I fell pregnant pretty quickly after taking sitagliptin but then again, getting pregnant has never been an issue, just keeping them! I truly truly hope it works for you xx

Im really sorry to hear your story, have you and your partner looked into dna fragmentation? Or autoimmune issues
