Hello, I am fortunate to have an enhanced mat leave. But trying to understand what this really means

26 weeks’ Ordinary Maternity Leave (OML) at full pay, this includes the Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP) element.
13 weeks’ OML at the rate set by the government each year and
Unpaid Additional Maternity Leave (AML) of up to 13 weeks beginning immediately after OML.

Is it:
26 weeks @ 100%
6 weeks @90%
7 weeks @ÂŁ187.2
13 week @ÂŁ0

or
26 weeks @ 100%
13 weeks @ÂŁ187.2
13 week @ÂŁ0

Thanks

The second one.

It'll be the 2nd option as it will be SMP + top up to full pay.

So 1st 6 weeks at 90% SMP topped up to full pay then 20 weeks SMP topped up to full pay.
Then 13 weeks SMP
Then 13 weeks unpiad

The second one

Agree with other posters - second one. One thing it's probs handy to know is once you go back after a year your first few paycheques will be bigger because when you're paid in full for the first 6 months you're paying tax as if you'll earn that salary all year (if that makes sense!) Was the case for me anyway!

That makes sense now it is written out! thank you

THink the second option - it is confusing when it says + SMP but as far as I was aware, they didn't top up your salary with SMP, your work pays you and claims back the SMP amount? I could be wrong, it is confusing
