I had a miscarriage at 13 weeks on the 19th March this year.

Ive just found out I’m pregnant again. I’m terrified. I’m terrified of loss I’m terrified of my body. I’m sat here now stomach going mad with worry. Anyone else been pregnant after miscarriage and baby been ok? Need a friend here 😩😩

Yes I fell pregnant immediately after a miscarriage and she is now 2. Have you had any scans yet? Might be worth having an early scan for reassurance. You should be able to see the heartbeat at 8 weeks. Have you got any symptoms too? Wishing you all the very best.

Yes I got pregnant within two months too. To be honest the anxiety didn't go away - I was checking for blood every time I went to the toilet and analysing every twinge. The only thing that helped was telling myself that right now, to the best of my knowledge, everything is fine. That might change tomorrow and I'll deal with it then, but right now it's all ok. And just one day at a time. Congratulations!

Ive had 3 miscarriages in 16 months, its taken me nearly a year to get pregnant. Thankfully ive managed to get to 14 weeks and still going.
Bit of a blip at 13 weeks, i started bleeding, no pain, no clots, but god the worry that went through my head, i spent the whole day and night crying because i thought we'd done it. I went to a scan and baby was absolutely fine. It was a SCH.
every single day is worrying, you're always checking for blood in your underwear, you're always analysing your symptoms. My symptoms stopped around 9 weeks and i thought id go to my 12 week scan and baby has stopped growing at 9 weeks. Nope! Healthy little baby with a heartbeat.

Its such a scary time, pregnancy after loss. But its something you can make it through. Ask doctors for advice if you need it, go for early scans from 7 weeks of course! Try and get a free scan with the NHS!

Gentle congratulations on your pregnancy x

Congratulations 🎊 I'm also pregnant after loss (currently at 25 weeks) and the anxiety is very real. Sadly miscarriage takes a lot of the joy and excitement out of pregnancy, as we're constantly fearing the worst 😔

Take each day as it comes, and know the odds are in your favour of a healthy baby.
Xx

Hi thanks for your reply. I haven’t as I’ve only just found out. I’m not 8 weeks I’m pregnant 8 weeks after my miscarriage lol, I’m roughly around 4.

I will book an early scan for maybe 6 weeks!

I’m so glad to hear that other people are in the same boat as me. It’s horrible isn’t it really wanting to enjoy our rainbow baby but get sidetracked from the anxiety and hurt 😩 You have a good mind set, thank you X

Oh gosh your anxiety must be through the roof then 😩 It’s just sad isn’t it that we will not have a straight forward exiting pregnancy, it hurts. I will be making sure I’m offered several scans this time. I’m also type 1 diabetic so I’m high risk.

thank you so much X

I got pregnant a month after a miscarriage. DD is 24 next week and a fiesty, spirited, intelligent incredible individual who drives us crazy and makes us burst with pride in equal measure! Good luck. ♥️

Hi @Loveydoveyduck firstly, congratulations on your pregnancy. I had a missed miscarriage July 2024 and exactly 1 year to the day, I gave birth to my little boy who is now 10 months old. I totally understand the fear after a miscarriage, I was a wreck at first, obsessively testing for progression etc. I worried myself sick if I’m honest. I’m also type one diabetic and understand the complexities involved here too, but there is every chance things will go perfect this time round. I’ll keep everything crossed for you 🌈

YellowFlowers1 · 18/05/2025 14:26

Sorry I meant July 2023 I had the miscarriage

BangFlash · 18/05/2025 14:32

Miscarriage is so much more common than anyone realises, and so many people go on to have babies with no issue.

Try to distract yourself, every time your mind turns to it you need something else to think about. Remind yourself that you come from a very long line spanning thousands of years of people who successfully carried and gave birth to healthy babies.

I personally would also book an early scan and maybe get a Doppler as soon on as you have a heart beat. I know it makes some people more anxious but I found it so reassuring. .

I really feel what you said. I’ve had about 4 miscarriages but my last was 13 weeks which I thought would progress brilliantly. I guess we never know!

I will make sure to not over think or stress. Thank you for the idea of the Doppler I think that would be brilliant for myself. Peace of mind. Thank you X
