Flying at 29 weeks

We have a holiday booked to Portugal in the summer and I will be 29 weeks when we fly home. Flying ryanair so will need a fit to fly letter for the return trip.

My question is a) would you go if all is well?
B) if we decided not to go as after 28 weeks, would we be covered by insurance?

Depends on your insurance - you'll have to read it very carefully as most won't pay out for this sort of scenario. I probably would go, although the heat of a Portuguese summer at that point doesn't appeal when very pregnant. Any hiccups along the way though and I wouldn't.

I flew to the US at about 35 weeks. I was planning another trip but I would have been 36+1 so cancelled that one. I’d go to Portugal unless there were issues nearer the time. Good luck!

I would go if having a straightforward pregnancy.
been to Italy in the summer at 30 weeks and the canaries at 27/28. Fine both times, enjoy ☺️

Do you have insurance to cover the baby if he or she comes early?

Good call radiator dd2 came suddenly at 35 weeks. It would probably be fine but if you are going to fret about it won’t that ruin the trip anyway?

You need travel insurance to cover neonatal care. A GP letter will just be factual and not say you're fit to fly

I would not but gave birth at 29 weeks
