Induction options? Help

I'm 40+5 today. Im hoping baby comes before induction day which is booked for 2 days time but they always call you 3 or 4 days later anyway so 🤞🏻 for those who have had an induction which method did you choose as there are a few and midwife said you can pick what sounds best. Did it result in a vaginal birth? What option has more risks? My first came at 41+1 without induction so hoping that's the case as babys head is super low and no old wives tale are working so just letting baby come when they are ready. Thankyou

I wasn’t given a choice of method. Just pessary. First didn’t work, so tried again and worked the second time. If it hadn’t worked I would have been put on the drip and I was told that would have been more painful. Vaginal birth at 39+3. I didn’t need an induction but it was offered and I took it as I was anxious.

the options depend on your obstetric history and examination findings. I'd listen to what the obstetricians suggest nearer the time.

I had one dose of the gel. All started within 2 hours and 6 hours later out he popped

I had an induction at 10 days overdue.
Was given option of balloon or pessary.
I had the slightly rare bad reaction to the pessary which resulted in hyper stimulated contractions, which were agony and relentless, needed a few injections to bring it down and regulate my heart rate. Kept in overnight for observation and then next morning was 7cm dilated. Had the oxytocin drip too.
12 hours later my son was born vaginally with forceps and episiotomy.
