I didn't know whether this was the right section or if I should have posted in S&B. I know there are knickers trolls, not sure about bra ones but I'm definitely not one!

I'm 6 months pregnant and my boobs are literally driving me insane. I usually have a pretty flat chest, A or barely a B cup. Since I've been pregnant they've grown to a full D cup and I absolutely hate it. Nothing is comfortable, they make me look huge and I can't find a bloody bra that works.

The main problem besides comfort I want to solve is the jiggling when I walk. I don't know if that's normal but it means I'm now wearing stretchy crop tops over the top of my bra to hold them still, which is making everything dig in and even more uncomfortable.

If anyone has any suggestions I will be SO grateful. I'm going on holiday next week and i honestly think my boobs are going to ruin it if I can't solve this.

Get a bra with no underwire. Of course you're going to have that jiggle. Theyre bigger than an A cup🤣
Im currently on my way out of an E cup to F cup, i found m&s do some really nice bras that dont have any underwire that digs in! I also went up a backsize to help with comfort!

They shouldnt make you look huge, but you are pregnant. Id start looking more at curvy clothes, not plus size. Curves.
They exentuate your body as an hour glass figure and take boobs size in to consideration. Something to think about post pregnancy because i dont think you're gonna have those A cups again.

Is it really that bad? Breast tissue is fat, it jiggles. If it really that awful, wear a sports bra. I’m currently sitting at an E cup and I don’t find it that unbearable at all.

Maybe the jiggle is something I need to get over. Maybe because I'm not used to seeing it on myself but when I stand in front of a mirror and walk it's all I can see 🤣

I thought no underwire would mean no support so will definitely try that out. Please don't tell me they'll never be small again, I can't bear the thought right now! I take my hat off to people with a large chest.

I would highly recommend the Emma Jane maternity/nursing bra from Jo Jo maman Bebe. It’s stretchy and like a cross between a crop top and a bra but it is very supportive.(also will be good for breastfeeding later on) I’m in the third trimester and a d cup and it’s the only thing I find comfortable at the moment. Planning on ordering another one soon.
I was so uncomfortable in bras that i had been wearing a crop top some of the time before now but crop tops offer no support. I also had a maternity bra fitting from m&s but found that useless to be honest and the bra I got there was too sore for me to wear.

No advise as I had the same! I hated it. For the first few weeks of breast feeding I went to a 30 e I was 30a/b before! They did go back to normal after about a year (breast fed until he was 3) they look exactly as before, which I am happy about! It really made me sympathetic to bigger breasted women, not just the weight but them just being there and that men immediately seem to stare at, or anyone in my case, I looked ridiculous they were so oversized for my build!

Do your Boob or Bust measurements or go to an independent retailer. There will be a bra out there for you, it's just finding the right size and style.

Paaseitjes · 10/05/2025 09:25

Oh I feel you! I've gone from a mostly braless athletic B cup on a wide swimmer's frame to a bouncing F cup. I don't know how wonen with larger breasts don't go mad! Sorry to say, they got bigger with breast feeding. Engorgement and tender nipples make choosing bras challenging. The best I've found so far are Bon Prix nursing bras which are relatively supportive whilst still soft (and cheap! ) I find BoB useless because of wide shoulders and muscle and widely spaced breasts. Plus your size will change so much over the next months there's no point spending a fortune on the MN recommended well fitting expensive bra from an independent shop that will fit for about 10 minutes.

Oxibras off Amazon. So comfortable. Wireless but give support due to the structure. There are similar from triumph but cost more. Really. Try it. It’s so good

My boobs have been super tender since I got pregnant
my normal size is 28G and they’ve grown!!!!
so I’m at my wits end. I have a narrow back so it’s hard to find any bras in my size which are comfy and supportive.
BUT I have figured it out….
Tesco do firm crop tops, which I get in small which straps them in without being painful
M&S do a great comfy bra when I need to go to work or look strapped in 🤣

Thank you all so much for the recommendations! I have never got on well with taking measurements for some reason, I think like PP I'm slim but quite broad so maybe that throws things off. Definitely going to order some of these and hope for the best.

It's nice to know there are others out there who feel the same and I'm praying to go back to normal before like you did @Cotswoldmama 🤞

@Blueplu my heart goes out to you, my problem seems small in comparison if you'll pardon the pun 😁
