Pregnancy belts - Do they really work?

I am looking at options to help with my pelvic girdle pain, back pain, and just the weight of the bump which is becoming uncomfortable. I am only 30 weeks pregnant so I still have 10 weeks to go, however my back, knees and pelvis are struggling. It is my second birth, I have my 2.5 year old which is one of the reasons I believe it is more of a struggle this time round due to having a very heavy toddler to run around after.
I am currently doing hydrotherapy once a week, doing exercises and using heat which do help, but I trying to find a bit of extra support.

Do pregnancy belts really work? I am a little sceptical. I have seen one for £60 which is a little pricey for something that I feel may not work. I have seen cheaper on Amazon but the reviews aren’t amazing. Would anyone really recommend?

Oh god yes. I had tubigrip from the midwife and it was so helpful.

That sounds really expensive, I think the two that I had were less than £10 each! One nylon band and one heavier support with Velcro.

They definitely work and I found them a really great help for when I was out and about walking or something for longer than an hour in the latter stages of pregnancy. Midwife advised me that it’s not a great idea to rely on them too much because they impact your stomach muscles over time. Just don’t wear it around the house all day and once it’s given you some relief take it off again.

My belly band and regular physio was the only thing that keep me able to walk in during my second pregnancy. Have you seen a women's physio? thy may also be able to advise on some exercises/stretches to help keep things stable and pain free

They do help a little but they don't take away the pressure completely.

I recommend the Neo-G which was £20. The sizing runs quite small - I'm a size 14 and I'm in the XXL, the biggest size they make.

If you look at reviews, sizing is the only real reason for any negatives. If you get the right fit, it's a good support band.

Yes I had a cheap Amazon one. Definitely helped though hit and uncomfortable in summer.

Oh and I also bought a supportive cushion to sit on with a hole cut out the back where the end of the spine sits which really helped.
