20 weeks and signed off sick with PGP for two weeks then signed off for another two weeks as work can’t do my amended duties and said they trying to sort something. But tbh they don’t really seem to give a damn which sucks given how hard I’ve work for them over the years and I’m never off sick.
It’s going to affect my SMP as I don’t get paid only get paid SSP and it is what it is.
I wanted to go back because I love my job but at this point I’m wondering if there is any point in pushing myself too go back and I am thinking should I just get signed off for the remainder of my pregnancy!
Citizens advice where great and said I am entitled to universal credit whilst I’m off and I should apply (I’ve never had to in my life and I’ve had part time and full time jobs since I was 14)
My minds very much like this is my first baby, I’m early 30s and need to just listen to my body so I can enjoy my pregnancy.
anyone else been in a similar situation?
Luckily my partner is super supportive he’s more than happy for me to do whatever I want to do he just wants to make sure I’m ok and baby

You'll have to see how it affects your maternity pay when you go off as they base your pay off of certain weeks you've worked (weeks 15-25 I believe). What did citizens advice say about that?

Get some legal advice, as I'd be surprised if work don't have to pay you if they can't/won't make reasonable adjustments for your pregnancy related condition. Look into their sickness policy to potentially cover you until maternity leave kicks in.
Possibly try somewhere like pregnant then screwed.....

@MyPinkFish yes it’ll effect my maternity pay as I’m currently 20 weeks. They basically said at present as they’ve said they’ll see if the sister homes have anything they are showing they are trying to find something. Just frustrating as literally it’s to tiny tings I can’t do when I’m on shift I can still do my main role it’s silly
