Morning sickness help

Hi,

I am currently 8 weeks pregnant with my first baby and this week the morning sickness seems to be just getting worse and worse. Not just this but the tiredness, I can't seem to have the energy to be able to do anything and I am constantly feeling nauseas, I can't seem to eat a lot and am just feeling more and more deflated about it all. I am usually a very proactive person and now can't even wash up or cook dinner.

Would love to hear how others have coped with this and your feelings around it as logically I know I am growing a human and need to allow my body to rest but can't help but feel guilt around this.

I am 25 weeks and was horribly sick from about 7-18 weeks.
Xonvea, prescribed by the doctor, has been life changing. I still take it now, and I know I need to as a couple of days ago I was an hour late taking one of my pills and I threw up, for the first time in five weeks. So without it I imagine I’d still be vomiting loads now!
I also struggle so much with basic tasks, everything feels like such an effort around the house. I’m usually more energetic in the mornings but in the evenings I have zero energy to do anything. Luckily my boyfriend has been great and he does most of the household stuff like cleaning/cooking/washing up!

Second vote for xonvea, changed my life. My GP tried me with 4 different meds and none of them worked, I ended up in A&E for fluids multiple times because I couldn't even keep water down and I lost over 1 stone in the first trimester. Xonvea pretty much made me "normal" again, and I think next pregnancy I will just insist it from the get go instead of putting myself through the GP trial and error meds.

Couldn't agree more with others - get to the GPs! They probably won't prescribed xonvea without trying other things first, but they're worth trying because if they work, they're easier to get hold of! I'm currently having a nightmare trying to get hold of xonvea and I'm struggling for it.

Also, just lower your expectations of yourself. I know it's hard to do, because I am usually active and busy and organised, but this is my second pregnancy and I know this time around that I'm fairly useless. My husband does as much as he can, I do whatever I can, and we don't sweat the small stuff. As soon as I'm more energetic and less ill, things will pick up.

I’m 7 weeks pregnant and have started experiencing nausea, which is becoming quite unbearable. I think it may be caused by the morning coffee I’ve been drinking. Is it safe to have one cup of coffee every day, or should I avoid it completely? Does anyone have recommendations for less acidic coffee options?

Medication.

Other things helped me a little bit - sour green apples seemed to settle my stomach a bit, and salt and vinegar crisps cut through that horrible taste you get in your mouth, raisins helped keep my blood sugar up and give me a little boost. But really, that was just faffing around the edges, medication is what helped.

For the exhaustion, nothing helped except accepting it and resting. It went away in the second trimester.

Agree with everyone else, medication was all that helped from 5-16 weeks. I was reluctant to take medication but they made a massive difference straight away. Eat whatever you can stomach and don't feel guilty if all you eat is rubbish, anything is better than nothing at all.

Medication for the nausea and vomiting.
This is my second pregnancy and I have had hyperemesis in both.
I tried all the usual meds this time, none touched the sides.
Was eventually prescribed Xonvea by the EPU. Its really helped.
Im still being sick most evenings but i can cope with this. I couldnt cope with the all day nausea and retching.
I cant suggest anything for the exhaustion.
Im still working full time, have a toddler at home and Im cream crackered by 7pm.
