C section and breech baby

Booked in for a c section due to baby being breech. So nervous: I’ve never had any surgery in my life. Can you have a natural birth after a c section again? Did anyone have any of the risks listed? Baby is healthy and well otherwise and very active. I also have no health issues at all.

I don't have any comments on the operation but my breech baby turned head down at 39+2 and was born vaginally at 39+3. So even though your c section is booked, don't lose hope. I was convinced DD2 wasn't going to turn and she did at the last chance!

(I had been checked at 39+1 and she was still breech, which is how I know she hadn't turned earlier).

I’m 38 weeks and 3 days and they have told me baby is unlikely to turn at this stage.

I have a c-section for my breech baby in December. Can’t comment on being able to have a normal birth after but can honestly say it was a really positive experience.
The surgery itself was absolutely fine, everyone introduces themselves and are really friendly, your partner is there the whole time with you too
The baby is out very soon in the surgery and you’re so busy cuddling you don’t even notice the rest!
Recovery was fine for me, I found the anti coagulation injection worse than any of the c section pain!

Reassuring to hear!

I had a c-section for my first, breech baby. Slightly less than 3 years later, had a waterbirth in a midwife led centre for my 2nd

I had an emergency c section for an undiagnosed breech with my first. Recovery was straightforward really. The worst bit was having the staples removed followed by the daily blood thinning injections! Had a VBAC with dc2 after requesting a late scan to check they weren't breech.

They said that to me too! What I'm saying is obviously prepare for the csection but keep bouncing on a ball, doing the spinning babies routines and you never know.
