Double pram advice

I am pregnant and when this baby is born, my daughter will be 27 months.

Firstly, do I need a double pram? I am thinking probably yes as we like going on long walks , sometimes in the countryside so not smooth easy paths. We do also go into the local town regularly.

Secondly, do you have any suggestions for which double pram to get? I’m struggling with finding one that has a new born carry cot to start with and don’t know whether to get a side by side or one in front of the other?

Need advice please! Thank you!

A friend had a mountain buggy duet and loved it. It can be configured to have a carrycot one side.
Used for everything including off-road walks

also have a look at out and about double which can also have a carrycot. We had the single of this one and it was great.

We have a cybex gazelle. We use it as a single but it has a BUNCH of different seats configuration options for using as a double. I love using it as a single - it's heavy and bulky but surprisingly easy to fold, plus super comfortable to push. We don't have a car so wanted a pram we're very happy with for walking. I don't do hikes but regularly walk 5+ miles for a trip out & about.

The carrycot is suitable for overnight sleeping, if that's of any interest.

When my 2nd baby was born, we had a pram seat for our older child but he wouldn't go on it, so that was a waste of time 😆 We ended up getting a silver cross tandem style buggy with chunky single wheels so that stones wouldn't get stuck in them and it was good on rough ground. It didn't have a carry for but you could get one for it, we didn't as the seats could face either way which was great having the baby facing me when walking along & I could keep a closer eye on her, while older son could look out front and see everything and everyone we passed too. I found it much easier to manoeuvre in and out of shop doorways, dr surgery etc. so I felt more independent. I would have struggled with side by side one as pavements were narrow where we lived too. I can't recommend one now sorry it was a very long time ago when my two were wee ones, but a couple of things to consider when you're shopping around.

Mountain buggy are awesome! Worth looking for a second hand one if you won’t be using it for long.
