Internal transfer of jobs 6 weeks pregnant

Hi all, I applied for a different role within my company months ago, just found out I got it but also that I am 6 weeks pregnant. I am still waiting on HR and contracts and will likely have to work my 3 months notice in my current role. Does anyone have any experience of this?
I am worried about losing maternity benefit (my company offers enhanced benefit!), I also really don’t want to tell them until I absolutely have to as the company is having a huge restructure. Also to add, I really want this move as my current role involves shifts and the new one doesn’t.

It shouldn't affect your maternity pay as it's an internal move. So your length of service starts from your original role.
Also, in theory, you're better protected in a restructure as a result of being pregnant,. although in real life companies find ways of screwing women over!

Oh, and congratulations

Thanks, over just been told they are now changing maternity leave policy to link it to probation period, so if I have a probation I’m screwed. Really frustrating!

You shouldn't have a probation as you already work there. It's uncommon to have a probation period for an internal move, partially because, assuming you've been there more than 2 years, it's hard to get rid of you. They can't just say you didn't pass probation as your employment rights are linked to overall years of service.
