I have lots of questions currently so my name my keeps popping up !

For those over 40 how was/is your pregnancy? I'm particularly concerned about heart health, pre eclampsia etc.

I had no issues when I was pregnant (40 at delivery). But I was healthy and normal weight etc going into the pregnancy which must surly help?
I had extra scans which the hospital did for all pregnant women over about 40

I had an extremely straightforward pregnancy, not even any mild side-effects, such as morning sickness, to speak of, nothing except constipation and, in the last couple of weeks, swollen ankles, which is nothing really!
I was monitored thoroughly during pregnancy, not due to my age, but because of my disability and pre-existing medical conditions which put me at a higher risk of pregnancy complications, but, thank god, all scans an tests were fine and I also remained very mobile until the end of pregnancy which was a pleasant surprise given my disability.
My birth, by planned c section, was also straightforward and we now have a perfect 12-week-old baby girl who is the light of our lives. My mum had me at 44 and had a similarly uncomplicated pregnancy.

I fell pregnant first time baby while using contraception at 40, delivered at 41. I had pre-existing high blood pressure.

Due to rising BP I had an ecs after induction failed. Baby was fine. BP is still medicated now (but was before).

I developed aneamia during pregnancy which has stayed. I need my iron tablets or I get shaky, anxious, pots, etc.

During pregnancy I developed overactive thyroid (bloods showed) but it returned to normal.

I also had SPD which by the end was agony. Big baby though. I could barely walk. All resolved fine.

The only other thing is I used to be a morning person and now I really really am not!

Comparing to a friends 23yr old who had a baby, mu pregnancy was tougher but I figure that's because I'm over 40. Not the energy I had before. Doesn't stop me being a mum though!

Even now nurses and docs ask me if I had ivf to have DD. I say no! That's both charming and irritating. DD is nearly 3 now.

Nope. Had my DDs at 41 and 43. Healthy pregnancies with no real extra monitoring. Both c sections but no-one in my family has managed a safe normal delivery for several generations so probably not age related.
