Pregnant and starting a new job

So I found out I was pregnant last week (unplanned) and I start a new job tomorrow. I have the worst morning sickness that lasts all day so any tips on how to relieve it so I can get through my first day? Also when should I tell my new employer that I'm pregnant. Beacuse of the sickness I don't know if I'll actually be able to hide so was thinking of telling them sooner rather than later but others have told me I should wait till at least 12 weeks...thought?

Speak to your GP about the sickness there's meds they can prescribe to help that are safe in pregnancy.

I'm sort of in your situation except interviewing for jobs at 14 weeks pregnant and was made redundant the day I found out I was expecting. My intention is to tell any employer if I'm offered a job. You don't have to tell them until 25 weeks but I don't want to spoil the potential relationship by holding off so want to be upfront quite early especially as I'm passed the first trimester. I think in your case I'd play it by ear, if you are struggling let them know earlier. It would be better for them to think you are struggling for a reason and not because you aren't up to the job. If you can manage I don't think it would look negatively on you to hold out until 12 weeks if that is what you want to do.
I had two miscarriages last year and my workplace already knew I was pregnant as I had had sick leave for pregnancy sickness and it was helpful that they already knew and were supportive in the days and weeks after the loss.
