Would you wait or try again? Endometrioa and miscarriages

So had my 2nd miscarriage over the weekend I was around 7 weeks pretty gutted, I also had one around 9 months ago was about 6 weeks.

i have had 2 children they are 7&5 so I am really lucky, but would love a 3rd.

anyway last year prior to miscarriage I was diagnosed with endometriosis and I have a endometrioa on my ovary which at the time was 6cm so I am waiting surgery to remove.

the surgery could be another 6 months wait, would you wait for the surgery before trying to get pregnant again? My partner is saying he wants to wait incase it’s impacting - the doctors said last year it shouldn’t impact me getting pregnant however surely must maybe be causing something? Or just bad luck maybe x we are obviously not getting any younger I am 36 and partner almost 40 so just worried could be another year or so!

heads up my bum any advice appreciated

I'm sorry for your losses. I can't answer your question about TTC or surgery 1st. I was told I had an endometrioma, but only after years of TTC and multiple losses. I have regular periods and had no signs of endo at all. Do you have other signs of endo? Are you getting pain from it? Surgery was never mention to me for mine. I'm actually dubious, I even had it. The last scan I had when having IVF- never mentioned an endometrioma at all, despite earlier ones seeing it! I have no idea whether they can suddenly disappear, but in my case, it suddenly appeared from nowhere.

Even if you lost the ovary, the other one will take over. Instead of alternating and each ovulating each month, the 1 ovary will ovulate every month instead.

heads up my bum any advice appreciated I have no idea what this term means, but I'm hoping its a typo??? 😕

Thank you for your response. So it took me a while to conceive with my first two children. I have always had very heavy periods and then I had a point where I was bleeding constantly for over a year and I went for a mri scan and the endometrioa was discovered! so they basically said I had endometriosis !
I have regular periods but very heavy the last 6 months they seem to also be getting more and more painful the one before I got pregnant was horrific I ended up in bed for two days the pain knocked me sick. I was told that they don’t disappear these sorts hence the surgery needed ?! But I am not 💯 this could have grown I guess as it was picked up last june

did you have a successful ivf?

I just mean my head and thoughts are everywhere when I said that haha

@Darkclothesdid you get an answer for your multiple loses?

No. TTC 12yrs, lost 3 then multiple rounds of IVF and no living children. Mid 40's now, so won't ever have any of my own.

All tests for infertility were clear. My own egg count (AMH) was very good for my age. The only thing 1 consultant said was that I had 'old eggs' so I assume the quality of my eggs was the issue. That was said in my mid 30's.

Hycosy, multiple ultrasounds etc showed no signs of endo, hence I was so surprised to be told I suddenly had an endometrioma. Especially as I never had heavy, irregular or painful periods beforehand. Wishing you all the best OP x

@williteverstopraining2024 Sorry for your losses. Not the same so may not be useful information but I had a 10cm endometrioma a few years ago on my ovary and my periods became regular after having surgery to remove the it. 6 months later I got pregnant with my first child. I have no idea if the endometrioma would have impacted my pregnancies as I had the surgery 2 months before I got married and then we started trying for children after but I definitely saw a change in the regularity of my periods.

I'm so sorry OP. Back to back losses are absolutely soul crushing.

Are you able to get referred to a loss clinic? I was referred after 2 miscarriages as they found a uterine septum during a follow-up ultrasound. We were told we could try again in the meantime as it could take months to be seen. We fell pregnant again, unfortunately we lost that baby to a severe fetal medicine issue. We were told to stop trying once admitted to the clinic and waiting for testing and appointments with the consultant. After they did their tests we were given the all clear to start trying again.

@3rdbabytimewell I have been given a date for my operation now which is in may so we will wait! Initially thought it could be another 6 months before I even got a date so thank you . My periods are regular however very very heavy and my last few before pregnancy were so so painful
