Hi all,

I have been out for food with my mother today and had cheesecake as a dessert which I forgot could be a big no-no.

i tried to find formation but couldn’t find anything. I did eat at a marston brand pub, I’m hoping it was pasteurised?

please help settle me nerves!!

I honestly wouldn’t have given this a second thought.
there’s no way a pub chain would serve a cheesecake with unpasteurised ingredients xx

I lived on cheesecake when I was pregnant and breastfeeding - I'm sure they're all pasteurised. Some of them are baked. You'll be fine, x

You might end up with twins though! 😁

What an absolute non-issue.

You'll be fine. Cheesecake is The best dessert. 🧑‍🍳

I can't see what would be wrong with cheesecake. Non baked cheesecake will contain philadelphia type cheese and cream which will both be pasteurised. Baked cheesecake will have been cooked

You’ll be fine!

It won’t be unpasteurised, which is the only thing the NHS would tell you to avoid. Even then, it’s only a problem if it makes you ill…. Have you ever known anyone get ill from cheesecake?

AliBaliBee1234 · 30/03/2025 22:03

I didn't even know this and i'm pretty sure I had cheesecake

Man all the bad advice out there about food restrictions can make you lose your mind. Just follow the NHS advice and ignore the rest. Cheesecake is fine.
