Grateful for any advice on this one - I'm driving myself round the bend worrying about this.
I've been treating a corn for the last two days with a Scholl corn treatment which consists of a small medicated plaster containing 'salicyclic acid'. Foolishly, I didn't think twice about using it whilst pregnant and then it occured to me last night when reading the pack that perhaps I shouldn't have. Have removed the plaster and scrubbed my foot to remove any trace but now am worried sick that the active ingredient may have had a detrimental effect on the baby - I'm 17 weeks pregnant. I googled 'salicyclic acid' last night and wikipedia said shouldn't be used whilst pregnant. Can anyone tell me whether a relatively small dose on a corn plaster is likely to have done any harm or whether I'm just overreacting here? All advice gratefully received. Thanks in advance.
